VISITING WNIE LIVE 2019
Compete to be the best Hand Solderer in the UK
The IPC Hand Soldering Competitions take place all around the world and WNIE Live once again hosted the UK competition in 2019. Some of the UK’s best skills in soldering were on show at the hand soldering competition. The competition in 2018 was well attended and worthy winner Przemyslaw Marszalek ultimately took first prize – a cash prize and an expenses paid trip to the IPC final in San Diego
The reliability of electronic equipment is ensured by zero-defect soldering processes. This contest recognizes the best skills in hand soldering complex printed board assemblies. Participants will compete against each other to build a functional electronics assembly within a half-hour time limit. Assemblies will be judged on soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610G Class 3 criteria, the speed at which the assembly was produced and overall electrical functionality of the assembly. IPC-A-610 Master Instructors will serve as the judges.
